“And G-d spoke unto Noah, and to Noah’s children with him, saying: And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you, and with your seed after you.” (Genesis 9:8-9)
The study and practice of the Seven Laws of Noah, when internalized in everyday life, increasingly, humanity becomes balanced not only in society, but also in nature and most importantly; in the connection with HaShem.
If we look at each of Noah’s seven laws, many of the values are totally different from what many ex-christians have learned in the churches. It is a reconstruction from scratch, starting point, relearning and redoing everything again. But can anyone do things different than before, in every aspect?
1. Do not profane G-d’s Oneness in any way.
2. Do not curse your Creator.
3. Do not murder.
4. Do not eat a limb of a still-living animal.
5. Do not steal.
6. Harness and channel the human libido.
7. Establish courts of law and ensure justice in our world.
The moment of repentance, reparation for what we did and how we acted before, it is worth paying attention to whether any old habit needs to be “deleted” because it requires rigor above the average that was lived in the past, the seven Laws are a process of taking care of yourself and the whole world IF through charity, speaking respectfully, dressing decently, not watching movies and series with themes contrary to the Seven Noahide Laws etc. We can list many things that a Noahide has to leave behind.
“In morals, Jew and non-Jew stand under the same Law” (Sifra 85b, Midrash to Leviticus 18:6)
